British families incomes down nearly £9,000

British families have incomes ‘nearly £9,000 lower than households in comparable countries due to a “toxic combination” of low growth and inequality’, according to a report by the London School of Economics.

This is the result of nearly 13 years of a Government that puts international business and wealthy donors first, a Government that favours short-term profit for the few ahead long-term prosperity for all. The UK is a very wealthy country, but that wealth is increasingly in the hands of a very small number of people, who often pay little or no tax.
